Polyurethane foam has been the core business of Howa Tramico for 50 years. Historically and all throughout its development, it has been used in most of our manufactured products. Our laboratory and experienced production department have the capacity to develop a variety of applications. Polyurethane foams are characterized by lightness (from 17kg / m²) and good resistance to temperatures> 100 ° C. With an open structure, these products adapt very well to the stress of sound absorption. Whether it is complexed, impregnated, transformed, cut or adhesive, the chemistry of this foam will be adjusted in order to give it the desired characteristics. We adapt its porosity, lift, cellularity, sound absorption capacity, or on the contrary, its tightness. The huge blocks of foam are produced in our production center in Brionne in Normandy, France. Of varying widths and heights, they will then be cut and distributed in our European processing units. We also deliver to the main equipment manufacturers who retransform these foams for comfort, automotive, industry, nautical, rail applications. Present throughout the processing chain, from the “casting” of this foam produced in 65-meter bars to the final product weighing a few grams, our engineering office will find the product design that suits you best and which will meet all of your specifications. We also have a range of “fire” treated thermoformable foam for engine compartments applications. In complex form, these sound absorbing parts are produced via thermoforming. Thus, the under hood and aprons on the engine side are made in our factories with this extremely light polyurethane foam. Since polyurethane foam is an excellent thermal insulator, these products also serve as battery insulation. Polyurethane foam is also available in a PPI version for filtering functions. These specific foams have an extremely open porosity which allows air and water to be filtered. They are then transformed on demand according to the desired format.
